For years I have talked about writing a book chronicling the history of Autodesk - but from a partner’s perspective. We have all read various tomes on Autodesk from an internal perspective. But the real story of Autodesk was its channel – how they grew it and ultimately how they managed it for their benefit.
I have shared the name – Between The Elephant’s Toes -with friends for years. I even started the blog a few years ago – but got diverted into writing about some exciting new technology related to digital pens ….. this has expanded in scope and evolved into a new company at ChasmTech…. but I digress (and blatantly advertise).
In this blog I will share my personal perspective of critical events in the evolution of the relationship between Autodesk and its partners – truly a partner perspective.
I very much encourage others to post comments on specific events, particularly if you can add insight on how Autodesk was viewing the same event.
